Career
Waihiga Mwaura (born 6th June 1984) is an award-winning Kenyan journalist and Citizen TV news-anchor.
He is the 2018 BBC Komla Dumor award winner and the first man to clinch this coveted award in its 4th edition.
Waihiga is the host of Friday Night, a prime-time show on Citizen TV, Kenya's leading channel and Daybreak, a daily breakfast show on the same channel.
He is a 2015 Mohammed Amin Africa award winner, 2012 CNN MultiChoice Africa award winner and a 3-time Media Council of Kenya AJEA nominee.
He has attended media training programs conducted by the BBC (London), CNN (Zambia), Reuters (Nairobi) and the Turkish Radio and Television Corporation (Antalya).
